In the afternoon, you will enjoy a 3-hour tour inside the two iconic Gaudi sites in Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia and the Park Güell. You will follow your guide inside the

Art and Architecture in Barcelona (8 hours) — Optional Private Excursions
Highlights:
An architectural delight awaits you today in Barcelona, one of the most exciting cities in Europe.  Receive a warm greeting at the port by your private guide and driver and commence your full-day tour with a visit to Gaudi's masterpiece, the impressive, but unfinished Sagrada Familia.  Although work started on this project in 1882, this iconic church is not expected to be complete until 2028! 

Next, visit Parc Guell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi's most colourful creations.  Continue along Passeig de Gracia, to view Gaudi's Casa Batlló and Casa Mila from the outside, with its brilliant wave-like façade.

Gibraltar is the famous promontory located at the western entrance of the Mediterranean, with Spain to the north and, across the Straits, Morocco to the south. In ancient times, the Rock, as Gibraltar is popularly called, and its counterpart on the African side, Mount Abyla, were known as the Pillars of Hercules. Cadiz is an old city with Andalusian character. The magnificent Baroque cathedral and impressive mansions were built with gold. Cadiz’s modern-day treasure lies 30 minutes to the north in the rolling hills of Jerez - where production of the liquid gold, as the famous sherry is often called, ensures a booming economy. Visit one of the bodegas for a tour and tasting. The Historic City Center of Old Cadiz is a pedestrian zone for a pleasant stroll. The monument to "Las Cortes" is the Spanish Parliament established in Plaza de España. The 18th-century golden-domed Cathedral of Santa Cruz looms over the whitewashed houses. The dazzling interior contains a magnificent collection of sculptures and art objects. The Museum of History features an outstanding model of Cadiz in ivory and mahogany that illustrates what the town looked like at the end of the 18th century. The small, colorful Flower Market offers much local flavor. The Moorish-style Alameda Apodaca Gardens serve as a reminder of the Moors’ occupation in past centuries.

Your tour will begin from the port of Cádiz with a panoramic drive through the Old Town and the bay area. Your guide will point out such highlights as the former Tobacco Factory -- now the Cadiz Palace of Congress -- and Santo Domingo Church, the Old Royal Prison, the Roman theatre, and San Sebastian and Santa Catalina Castles. Admire the Plaza de España, with its Monument to the Liberal Assembly, and the Provincial Deputation Building -- both built in neo-Classical style.

You will see the San Carlos Gate, the Alameda Apodaca and the Church of the Carmen, San Juan de Dios Square, the Town Hall, Santa Maria and Victoria Beaches and the ubiquitous football (soccer) stadium. You will have an external view of the Cadiz Cathedral. Enjoy some free time in the vicinity of the cathedral before returning to the pier.
