Tokyo, Japan, presents a different view at every turn. It's one of the world's main economic centers and its most populous agglomeration. Shimizu is located on the northwest coast of Suruga Bay on the island of Honshu. Protected by a sandspit, it is a major commercial port and fishing centre. Kagoshima, a seaport on Kyushu Island, Japan, is sheltered within Kagoshima Bay and is the commercial and cultural center of southern Kyushu. Products manufactured here include a famous type of earthenware known as Satsumaware. Sights of interest include the Iso Garden and the local Theatre.

Hashima Island, commonly called Gunkanjima, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is known for its undersea coal mines operating since the late 1800's. The island is now uninhabited, but features historic buildings from Japan's early industrialization period and Second World War.

One of Japan's most historic cities, Nagasaki was a major port, trading with the Portuguese and Dutch in the 16th century. Naha is the port for Okinawa Island lying southwest of the main Japanese islands. Landmarks in the city include the Commodore Perry Memorial, the 16th-century Sogen-ji Ishimon Gates and Tsuboya pottery quarter. Explore Shuri the 500 year old former capital that contains various shrines, temples and ceremonial gates including the famous Shurei Gate. Ko Kut (Koh Kood) is the fourth largest island in Thailand and the closest to the Cambodian border. The island is covered by tropical rainforest (about 70%) with development mainly around the coastal areas. Most resorts generate their own electricity as fuel and solar energy are the primary sources of electricity. The west coast is lined with a series of lovely beaches and wonderful views which include the magnificent sunset. The east coast is equally beautiful with great views of the sunrise. Relax on the beach, snorkel around the beautiful coral reefs or visit the islands of Ko Kra, Ko Maisi Lek or Ko Raet. Ko Kra has reputedly some of the best dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand. Some of the more expensive Resorts on Ko Kut offer Banana boat, and water-skiing. In addition there is line fishing at the beaches and bays, boat rentals, and night fishing. The Nam Tok Khlong Chao or Than-Sanuk-Waterfall, which was visited by King Rama VI in 1911, is one of the most beautiful spots to be found on Ko Kut. It has two levels falling into a large pond - ideal for swimming.

Klong Toey Port is in the Chao Phraya River and lands you right in the heart of Bangkok city. Only the smaller cruise ships can navigate this far up the river.
