Sep 26 Fethiye

Fethiye is one of the most popular beach resorts and marina along the Turkish coast. Along the beaches visitors can participate in fun water sports as well as paragliding, cliff jumping, and bird watching. The city is also known for its rock tombs elaborately carved into the cliffs.  The tomb of Amnytas is built in Doric architectural style and is well worth visiting. A short boat ride away is Koturumsu, where visitors can explore waterfalls flowing across valleys, and where you will find thousands of colorful butterflies.

Sep 27 Ekincik

At Ekincik, a delightful yacht mooring, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the area and the friendly hospitality of its people. Delikli Island lies right off the coast, southeast of Ekincik. Dalyan Delta, with a long, golden, sandy beach at its mouth, is a nature-conservation area and a refuge for sea turtles and blue crabs. High on the cliff face above the fascinating ancient harbor-city of Caunos, magnificent tombs were carved into the rock. Southeast of Delikli Island is Sarigerme with its pleasant holiday complexes, nestled in cozy pine forests. Baba Island lies across from the pristine sandy beaches. The nearby Gulf of Gocek, with the friendly Club Marina set in a beautiful pine forest, is one of the Mediterranean’s best sailing spots. Dotted with islands and indented with many coves, its land and seascapes are irresistible. The ruins of Arymaxa, an ancient city at the southern tip of the gulf, lie at the edge of the azure waters. Opposite on Tersane Island stand Byzantine ruins including those of the ancient shipyards.

The waterfront is lined with bars and restaurants, and a little more inland visitors will find the market square, which is lined with unique shops selling antiques, Turkish crafts, and some unusual carpets. Historical attractions include the Temple of Leto, which houses a beautiful ancient mosaic, The hidden city of Sakikent, surrounded by a canyon, waterfalls, and includes a mud bath. Visitors willing to hire a boat can visit partially submerged Byzantine ruins on Tersane Island, and have lunch at the restaurant there.
