Cooper island is a popular stop with boaters, and the local beach club makes for a relaxing beach getaway. Shipwrecks off the coast are popular with divers, and Cistern has excellent snorkeling.

Nov 23 Virgin Gorda

Enjoy the fabulous underwater world of the British Virgin Islands. For those who wish to get wet and enjoy the thrill of viewing coral formation and other marine life without diving, you can take a professionally guided snorkel tour of the famous Norman Island underwater sea caves and the Indian Reef. Cruise along Sir Francis Drake Channel to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda. Or take a short drive to the baths at Spring Bay for swimming, snorkeling and sunning amid the mammoth boulders and sea caves for which the area is well known. The only viewing gear you need are your eyes!

Anegada, an island 10 miles long by 2 1/2 miles wide with extensive salt ponds, reaches its highest point at 28 feet, hence its name which means the "drowned land." Of coral reef origins, Anegada has sixteen miles of sandy beaches with a primeval quality. Anegada is guarded by the famous Horseshoe Reef, one of the world's largest coral reefs. Today, Anegada attracts people from around the world as friendly modern Anegadans apply their talents to creating interesting business places and activities. Anegada is shipwrecks and conch shells, fishermen and lobster pots, beaches and wild orchids. A pure coral island in the Caribbean, Anegada has its own distinctive geography, environment and flora and fauna, including the restored flamingos and the Anegadan "Outback."
