From a young girl, I have always been a dreamer. Books and magazines with pictures of unbelievable architecture, gemstone-studded clothes, waterfalls and miles of beautiful beaches always piqued my interest. I would sketch gowns and cut out pictures of places in the world I wanted to see when I grew up.
Working in Corporate America all my adult life, I would hear people talking about their vacations and the beautiful sites they visited. A travel agent friend of mine, who I bowled with, would tell me about the countries she had just visited.
I went on my first cruise with my aunt who was also a Travel Agent. I joined a couple of travel networks and booked a trip here and there to visit family and bowl in tournaments. However, there was something lacking.
A little later, that same friend told me I need to become a real Agent and she would talk to the owner of Ships and Trips. Within a month, I was in training and working for Ships and Trips and that is when I got serious about traveling and assisting others to do the same. Working for Ships and Trips also allowed me to broaden my relationships with travel vendors around the world.
Combining my 25+ years of travel experience along with my 25+ years of event planning and coordinating (private and corporate), I am also a fashion designer and seamstress. Therefore, when you need that spectacular swimsuit, a custom cummerbund set or fabulous formal for the Captain’s Ball on your cruise you know who to contact.
