See the World, Your Way!

From as far back as I can remember, I always had a passion for travel: to explore the world, to meet people from distant lands and to see how they live, to taste exotic foods, to dip myself into balmy seas and to experience all the places I read about in history books. Growing up in Michigan, I was inspired by my Aunt Ona who, as a single woman in the 1950's, traveled numerous times to Europe, Cuba, South America and more.  As a child, my imagination was sparked by my collection of slides for my View Master that she brought from each country she visited. My aunt also treated me to long road trips all over the east coast from New York City to the Florida Keys.  I've been lucky enough to explore Washington, D.C. six times.

My life has been blessed with many opportunities to follow in my aunt’s footsteps to many foreign lands. Along with my favorite travel partner, my husband Gene, I have cruised South America, the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, the Andaman Sea, the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and the Caribbean.  I have sailed on Celebrity, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Princess Cruise Lines as well as Azamara Club Cruises and Star Clipper ships.    I have traveled to such extraordinary places as Israel, Tahiti, Thailand, Cuba, China, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey, as well as 11 countries in Europe. One of my most recent trips was to the Baltic countries of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, the country of my grandparents.  My next group adventure is a bicycle trip exploring the Dalmatian coastline of Croatia.
